For hospitality
Horeko evolved many years ago from a little programme called CompuKookboek - merging the words of Computer and cookbook. I wrote this programme for my grandma, so that she could have a digital overview of all her recipes. Sounds practical. A little later I released the programme as a free download. From there it gained traction not only with grandma and housewives, but CompuKookboek became popular under chefs and restaurant owners.
1500 happy customers later
This sparked the question if I could also have the programme show ingredient prices and calculate the recipe cost - the recipes and ingredients were already in the programme so it seemed a logical next step. Horeko - another merge of 2 Dutch words for Hospitaly and recipe costing - was born. From that time I started building a business with the main focus of developing software that would advance the hospitality industry. Apparently we are hitting the mark, because currently we have over 1500 customers using and trusting the software on a daily basis. Together they rate us with an amazing 8.9!
